To have a visual, it would be something close to that aesthetic. The night there is endless.

She has her home there, away from the mortal plane, and with her being one of the many gods of death and war, the place is plagued by the spirits of death warriors that died at the hands of fighters that worshipped Morrigan.

Said spirits are aggressive and attack strangers that manage to enter the domain, unless Morrigan gave personal permission to enter.

Then, there also live the spirits of soldiers that were fully devoted to her in life, but so to say, they still keep their original personality because Morrigan doesn’t need control on them to make them serve her.

Morrigan, the Great Celtic Goddess or Phantom Queen.

Representing the circle of life, associated with life, death and fate; a shapeshifter patroness of revenge, magic, priestesses, night, prophecy and witches.

Despite her usual calm demeanor she’s the aggressive goddess of war, death and destruction, although it also connects to rebirth; the death that opens the path for a new life, love, and sexual desires.

Immortality, in a sense.

It’s said she was part of every war, assisting the soldiers in the form of a crow to infuse them with strength and wrath to fight and win the battles.

She’s the goddess Carmilla and company went to with sacrifices in exchange of power and immortality to keep fighting in her name for all eternity.

The goddess wasn’t stupid, however, she knew well that the humans that were asking her for such a big favor were actually asking for it for their own intentions, not to serve her or in the name of war. Besides, their request was a violation of what she represented.

If they couldn’t die, like a deity, they wouldn’t be able to follow the circle of life she represented.

It’s then when Morrigan decided to curse them with what would be known as vampirism. They would get the immortality they were asking for, but in exchange for that kind of power, they would have to feed off the blood of humans to survive.

Blood is spilled in every war, but vampires would have to live in a constant war with themselves and the world if they wanted to exist, with them being stronger at night and acquiring super-natural powers.

Instead of crows, vampires would be associated with other creatures, mainly with bats, that would represent upcoming death and destruction.

Nowadays, Morrigan still watches over the vampires that she once created, and while she didn’t exactly give them immortality in the way they were expecting, she’s glad her creations evolved to the point of bringing their own kind of destruction to the world.
