Murray (Murralsee) is actually the mascot of the 80's heavy metal artist DIO. There's little information of Murray from DIO's pamphlets, like DIO running into Murray once and telling him that DIO fans love Murray, which made Murray really happy (because everyone is always afraid of him). There's little extra information of Murray in a comic DIO - Holy Diver but unfortunately from Murray's perspective the comic didn't do that much justice to him. Mainly, Murray's visual design was off.

You might have seen this famous (and in 1983 a scandalous) album cover with Murray.

This picture is one of my favorites. DIO himself said that one might look at this album cover and think Murray is summoning the little evils monsters to hurt the girl, but it's Murray who is actually watching over the girl, and guarding her from the monsters.

Murray is covering really well DIO's views that no one and nothing should be judged based on its cover but who/what they truly are. That's something I do my best to live by, too, and I think you see it in my stories.

I have found a new demon friend from DIO’s Murray mascot. Look at this charismatic demon, who is apparently also kind based on the pic above:

“It’s easy to assume ill intent on the part of Murray, but as Dio pointed out before, one should not be too quick to judge. It’s just as likely that Murray keeps watch over the child, ready to protect her from the ominous goblin that stands at the foot of her bed.”

No wonder he gave me Nemesis vibes (from Nemesis the Warlock) as Nemesis is very similar to Murray. Both the children of the 80′s, too.
