@murkhith liked for a starter from Celebrimbor (a peaceful AU with no Sauron or Smaug)
The elf from the first age had once been a lord among his people but his passion was blacksmithing and metal working. He had been known to to make the best blades in all of Middle Earth but also made enchanted jewelry and armor. Celebrimbor had for some time been a wanderer, living a solitary life traveling to different kingdoms and sharing his craft.
His travels brought the elven smith to the Lonely Mountain, home to the largest forge in Middle Earth. Though it also belonged to the dwarves. Celebrimbor wasn’t too sure how welcomed he would be to a lone elf, but his skill was known by all races and hoped he’d earn some respect among them. At the gate it took some convincing but he managed to gain entry, only after he’d present the royal family with gifts. Having to buy his way in was not surprising as dwarves were known to be a tad greedy.
Celebrimbor had a few blades and trinkets in his satchel that the king and two princes could have their pick from. Hopefully in exchange to getting to tour the massive forge and possibly staying awhile to work. The elven smith was escorted to the throne room and on the way he marveled at the craftsmanship of how the interior of the mountain was carved. Centuries of work beautifully done, if the main halls were this nice he could only imagine how spectacular the forge was.
Once at the throne room he approached the trio, taking a knee and bowing low in respect. “Thank you for granting me an audience with you all. I’m Celebrimbor, master smith, I’ve come here to visit your one of a kind forge and with your permission craft from it.”
