“I’m really dizzy” She mumbled, rubbing her forehead with a small frown. Maybe she’d had too much to drink but she wasn’t usually a lightweight, not after three drinks. Hopefully she could curl up and sleep it off

A Bizarre Vacation || Belle & Jack - For Sparrow’s Nest

“SURPRISE! We’re going to Disney World!”
The banner was made from just an old sheet and some glitter paints Belle had found in the girls’ craft boxes, but it did the trick. She’d hung it up over the fireplace so they’d see it right as they walked in from pre-school, and she’d left two boxes for them (one green and one blue, their favorite colors) for them to find their MagicBands. She was nervous while she waited for their father to bring them in, but once they did, Belle had the camera ready to record their reaction. Isabella was old enough to understand just what this trip meant, and bounced like a rubber ball all over the living room. Jacqueline fed from her sister’s excitement, but only managed a few happy claps, some laughs, and a “yay!” or two. She was still too little to fully grasp what this kind of thing meant.
Now that the cat was out of the bag, it was time to pack. Belle had made a point of keeping their first family vacation a secret from the girls as long as she could (she knew from Christmas and birthdays how exhausting ‘how many more days until’ questions could be). Their flight left in two days, which Belle determined would give her plenty of time to get organized. In practice, as she scrambled to empty and reload Isabella’s backpack and double check that everyone had their toothbrushes, she hoped that it was was indeed enough time allotted. On the other hand, it was only five days, how bad could it be?
The flight had been...interesting. Belle enjoyed flying very much, but it wasn’t something she could say she passed to her daughters. Lots of crying and fighting in a tiny space over the course of several hours only taught Belle that coloring books would not be enough to keep them occupied and content on their way back. Also, Jacqueline couldn’t understand why her ears were popping and cried, and Isabella made a very loud, obnoxious point of bragging that her ears were fine. Halfway into the flight, Belle decided to drain her laptop battery and let them watch a movie. It worked like a dream--both girls were out in under an hour. At least she would be able to enjoy her soda and her packet of cookies in peace.
The trip to the resort was a much more amenable experience than the flight. The girls each sat by their own parent and stared out the wide windows at the lush Florida landscape, or watched the monitors on the bus because “Look Daddy! It’s Mickey!” Belle was grateful for this change. Soon they’d be checked into their room and she could rest.
Or so she thought. The girls had noticed the pool on the way in. Oh well, she thought, it will be a fun way to burn off their excess energy so they’re in bed right after dinner. She would just have to wait until then to relax and prepare everyone for the first morning in the parks.

Wesley looked down at the plate of salad sitting on the table in front of them, then looked back to Jack. “Noo..? It’s a Caesar salad.” They said, their words muffled by all the leafy green they had yet to swallow. “Come have some you useless stoner.”
