The Halcyon fandom will be running a crime themed fic fest this May. This is your chance to write almost anything crime related; but there will be a particular theme of murder.

optional prompts will be released soon, but they are not required and are designed only to offer ideas for people who want to participate but are stumped for their own idea.

MurderMay is a freeform fest based in optional prompts with an overarching them of crime - particularly murder, however anything from petty theft to arson to serial killing is fair game.

Anything requiring an archive warning is allowed, but you must ensure the work is adequately tagged. Be mindful of potential triggers; over tagging is better than undertagging, particularly with darkfic and whump. In addition to adding warnings, all triggers must be tagged appropriately, regardless of if you as the author consider this a spoiler.

Posting may begin on May 1st, and continue until May 31st; when you post make sure to add to the collection which can be found HERE

For those of you who won't be writing, we hope you'll support the fandom's relatively small, but enthusiastic writers by leaving comments and kudos on the collected fics.
