I didn't try to kill her. I left her to die
Some red headed prick
Endgame
The torch had burned out. Somehow, it felt better that way. In the dark. Alone. Without her sun.
She was coming to hate the sun. The sun brought warmth and light, but also pain. Cold was preferable. Cold was superior.
It was a comfort, alone, in the dark, to listen to the storm rage outside of her prison, to know that the sirens were muffled because of the sheer volume of snow in the air. It was almost enough to make her forget the blistering pain at her throat.
Idly, she stared at the closed door, knowing where it was only because of her orientation on her prison bed. The 'gift' for being a 'good girl'. Her fingers picked at her other 'gift'. The gift she'd gotten for being 'very good'. Good but not good enough. Not enough to be a queen. She'd earned the place of 'pet'. A lapdog, or a cat to be stroked.
And pets needed collars.
Her fingers dug into blistered skin. Obsidian had smoked into her flesh. She doubted it would ever come out.
She waited for the sun.
[How long had it been now? In this windowless room, with only one guttering torch, it was impossible to say. He'd come in once. He'd created a large bed, a bed for a queen, placing a soft, lush mattress on it. Then he'd chained her to it.
And then he'd gone.
No more 'training' since then. No fighting, no touching, no ... food, no water, no clothing, no Hans.
He wasn't coming back. That torch was definitely burning down. He'd abandoned her. He'd left her and she was going to starve. Time was tricky, but this was definitely the longest.
She curled up on the bed, a tiny, hungry whimper escaping her. Please... please don't leave her to starve. Please come back.
Outside the winds howled, hungry, so hungry, the storm expanded, well beyond the city, greedily swallowing suburbs and farms in it's starving coverage.]
Please... please come back...
I'll be good
[Glares at this bed that's been added to her cell. Yes, it has allowed her to actually sleep and wake up less than a ball of stiffness and pain, but it also represents a level of compliance with her captor that disgusts her. The shackle eye-lets disgust her for other reasons, testaments to the fact that this bed could be as much a punishment as a reward. Evidence that, in the end, she was a toy that her keeper could play with as he wanted.
Well he wasn't here right now, and he couldn't stop her from continuing to chip at the ring connecting her chained wrists to the foot of the bed. At first the ice she'd used had merely fractured and shattered under her blows, but eventually shards of the volcanic glass began to chip away as well. Her hands were starting to bleed from the abuse, but she wasn't about to stop until she was loose. This time it'd work.]

[Alone in her cell, Elsa allowed the ice to creep up the links of the chains keeping her captive. She'd been unable to stop the wind outside, the snow beginning to accumulate in the urban environment. The icicles within the cell had only diminished a small amount, probably more to do with Hans' presence than anything she did. But now she crept up the chain, feeling along.
Choosing a link, she grew an ice crystal in the hole... allowed it to melt a bit, then refroze, searching for a tiny crack. Just a small one. Something she could force the moisture into and expand with the ice. She could do it. Not this link, maybe the next.
Maybe the next.
The ice climbed the chain, even as she became exhausted. Trembling, trying to remain awake, the ice climbed higher. Higher...
She fell asleep, actually asleep, with a thick coating of ice covering almost the entirety of the chain.]
[Time to head out to class, Elsa slipped out of the house early. The trip from Kris' family's home was a bit out of the way and time consuming, but, quiet as it'd been lately, she still wasn't ready to move back into her dorm.
She let Marshmallow out to explore, mostly so he wouldn't destroy the house and knowing that he wouldn't wander far, and off she went, using her ability to skate until she got to the edge of town, then started the long walk to campus.]
