                      HALOS BURN  /  HEAVENLY FIRE !            if she were not meant to be near blood surely she would not have been born in her time. dark eyes flutter shut on a laugh that shakes a slight frame. the column of her throat exposed like a    DARE    like a   promise.  she is not-quite divine  ,  something almost holy, and what is    HOLINESS   if not half marked by blood.    ANGELS OF THE LORD !    did people forget they were the carriers of divine WRATH ?    the flood had been delivered and in it’s wake had come one   lone dove.     it was no mistake her altars and her icons had been adorned with them ever since.   THE CLOSEST HE HAD COME TO APOLOGY !   for where is forgiveness needed but at the site of sorrows ? the site of pain and blood and death ?    what grace has forgiveness if there is no sin ?  BEATA MARIA !    benevolent mary  ,  blessed mary.   in her laugh lay something akin to resignation. akin to remorse.
