3/7 3:10 PM: After Shannon’s Microbiology test we decided to go into the city and have some curry and onigiri. We both really love curry, so we decided to try Muracci’s Japanese Grill. Shannon ordered the chicken katsu with mild curry over white rice and I ordered the traditional pork cutlet katsu with medium curry over white rice. Shannon also ordered some onigiri from Onigilly. Alongside our larger meal, we had one ume (pickled plum) and one tarako (Pollock row) filled onigiri. The curry was very authentic and hearty, and the medium flavored curry had a perfect balance of spiciness and flavor. The pork katsu contrasted perfectly between the crispy breading and the tender meat. For curry lovers, I would definitely recommend having lunch at Murraci’s Japanese Grill. Beware, the restaurant itself is pretty tiny so it’d be wise to order your food to go and eat it somewhere more spacious. Overall, the meal tasted 100% authentic and brought back fond memories of when I used to live in Japan.
