The Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Kabataan ng Lungsod ng San Pedro visited Hospicio de San Jose, a Roman Catholic welfare institution in Manila. It is the first social welfare agency in the country and as a foster care institution, it has been a home for orphans, the abandoned, special needs, and the elderly. We would like to give our deepest gratitude to the people who, in their own special way, helped and volunteered in this heartwarming and inspiring activity. Without hesitation, they lend their time and effort for this meaningful charity. I will always remember this humbling experience and never forget the smiles that the elderly and the children gave to us as it reminds me that giving is one of the best investments we can make towards achieving genuine happiness. We'll use the core values of humanity not only by helping others but to show other people how to give, help others.
