Oswalda? Is that all you have to do to make a name feminine, add an A to the end? A better female version of Oswald would be Oslyne (Os-lin). Just a suggestion.
//Thank you for your feedback, as sharp as it is. You didn't have to hide to say this to me (presenting yourself would save you from perhaps appearing as a troll to some), but whatever makes you feel comfortable.
First of all, allow me to make you aware that yes, it is indeed common practise to feminize a name by adding an "a" at the end, depending on the letters towards the ending; names ending with consonants are usually feminized by adding in an "a". Example, the Nordic Diety twins Freyr & Freya. Edward - Edwina. Victor - Victoria. So yes, this is all one needs to do.
Secondly, it is common practise in the rule 63 verse that a character's name oughtn't stray too far from the original. Example, some rule 63 Harley Quinns like to use Harry or simply Quinn if they do not stick to the original. This is an example I've seen many times; please bear in mind that with rule 63 characters, their gender has changed obviously but nothing more (depending on preference) & that these characters exist separately & independently of the mainverse version, & so feminizing a name the way I have chosen to do is not unusual in that I am staying as close to the mainverse name as possible.
Thirdly, I chose the name Oswalda because, aside from my previous reason, it happens to be a common recognized German name. In going with the Kappelput family as originating in Germany, Oswalda was a realistic choice for me that I didn't just pick through lack of imagination. It worked perfectly in that it suited the rule 63 norm & that it was an authentic German name. Also, I believe Gertrude would pick an old-fashioned name for her child so I wasn't going to go too modern in choice (bearing in mind, as per your recommendation, that the name Oslin seems to be a surname tied to Hawaii & Oslyne seems to be a fairly modern name originating in the USA - these would not work for me).
Finally, I have a suggestion for you: if you ever decide to create a blog for a rule 63 Oswald Cobblepot, by all means use the names you have mentioned, as is your right according to what you feel works best. As it is my right to name my muse how I feel works best.
I shant be stealing them from you, not to worry.
If you prefer the names mentioned, that's fine, that's your opinion after all - but your opinion is not "better" than mine, the same as mine is not better than yours. An opinion is an opinion. Not fact. Not right nor even wrong.
Thank you again & enjoy your day / evening,
Max.
