Hi friend, what is your advice on making a gshade preset look so clear and high quality like yours? The gshade settings are very confusing and intimidating to look at so where should I start if I want to make one similar? - Muni 😁
Hi Muniii darling! I hope you don't mind me answering this publicly because a couple of other people have asked me the same thing and this may get a little lengthy :)
I didn't make or in fact edit my Gshade preset, it's available right here and all the settings I've pretty much left alone outside of Relight because I also think making presets is extremely tedious and intimidating 😭
I think most of the clarity from my photos now comes from my new monitor and how I edit. My new monitor takes photos at a default 3480x2019 resolution whereas my old monitor took photos at the standard 1920x1080 resolution, so the new screen definitely takes higher quality photos even before Photoshop (this should also be easy to recreate in SWRE) but I can definitely share my sharpening settings:
In order, I run the Smooth and then Smooth Sharp actions from this collection of actions, then I run Topaz Clean a second time with these settings
(sorry that it's cut off Topaz is wonky) Then I run this all-in-one action by the lovely Hazelminesims, I stand by these actions fr they make everything look so nice.
Finally, I do one more Smart Sharpen and these are the settings for that one!
I hope that helps 🥰 truthfully it's just my new monitor doing the heavy lifting for me but this is basically my full blown editing process so if you or anyone else have any questions, feel free to ask 💘
