Things mun (and Rey!) would’ve LOVED to have seen in the ST:
That moment when Rey and Kylo/Ben, realising there’s a threat out there that’s bigger than themselves/the FO/the Resistance, come together as equals and swear fealty to each other/bind their causes as one to defeat it. I mean fucking PICTURE IT --
Kylo/Ben’s shuttle arrives on Ajan Kloss.
There’s fucking PANDEMONIUM over it, but Rey (and Leia) is calm because she knew he was coming. This is part of a plan they’ve been forming since Palpatine/The Threat popped up.
So the shuttle lands and Kylo/Ben and the Knights of Ren emerge.
They approach the Resistance’s base -- every gun in the place aims at them -- and then there’s Rey at the gates.
‘HOLD YOUR FIRE!!!’ she bellows.
Every eye in the place turns to General Organa.
She agrees. Hold your fire.
Kylo/Ben and his Knights approach Rey. A tense beat passes for everyone BUT THEM, because they know what’s coming.
The Knights, after a mental ‘Kneal’ from Kylo/Ben, do just that -- it’s a show of trust; they’re armed but not going for their weapons; they obey their leader and their leader --
Their leader doesn’t kneel, but he presents his saber to Rey.
Remember the significance of this gesture between Jedi/Force users -- the saber represents the very life of these folks. This is something Anakin did with Padme in The Clone Wars -- though under completely different circumstances, of course. This moment MEANS.
And she wouldn’t take it.
She’d press it into Kylo/Ben’s hands. ‘You need this now.’ A pause, full of meaning. ‘Fight by my side.’
‘Without hesitation’ Kylo/Ben says.
...ARE YOU HAVIN’ THAT?! I’d drink that tea for ever and a day.
Rey would do it back too -- right in the belly of the FO to show, unequivocally, that she and Kylo/Ben are on the same page/that their factions are fighting the same battle now. She’d go to their flagship/base and would present her sabre to Kylo/Ben in front of his entire cadre of senior officers/the entire High Command he keeps in line with an iron grip.
And they’d align their causes, pool their resources, and KICK THE LIVING PISS OUT OF PALPS/THE THREAT!!!
I’m not even fucking joking I would pen threads by the dozen about this kind of shit. I LIVE for it :D xD
