Tina was super nervous. Newt had asked her on a date and she’d said yes. Of course she did, why wouldn’t she? They were going out tonight. She was excited but she was also worried that she would make a fool out of herself. Tina nervously applied her lipstick as she waited for Newt to arrive, having agreed to pick her up at 7pm. She dusted off her dress, wondering whether she was overdressed for what he had planned, and double checked her shoes.

The past few years had been harsh. Trystan had grown a lot in the years before the war, but the war itself certainly gave him a reminder of how cruel the world could be. Whether your were a muggle or a wizard. It was hard on everyone because no matter who you were death was all around.
“You okay?” he paused for a moment in the dark to wait for Newt. Refusing to continue anywhere before he was sure Newt was behind him, “I hope one of these keys works,” he sighed, wiggling the keys on the chain in his hand once he reached the door to an old mansion. They were still awfully close to the warzone, but far away enough to be safe for now. The abandoned mansion wouldn’t be much, but good enough to allow them to get a roof over their head and maybe some rest. “Yes!” he grinned once the door opened at the fourth key, pulling it back to let Newt in first. Both injured. Both weary. But both still alive for now while the war continued on.

After literal hours of crying, screaming and pushing, (Not to mention her holding onto Newt’s hand so tightly that she feared she may have broken it.) Tina was finally relaxed. Granted she was sweating slightly and slightly delirious from the tiredness but, she was happy and she was still relaxed, head rested against the soft hospital pillow and her breath steadying and getting back to it’s normal pace.
When she heard the cries from the baby, she felt a couple of tears come up and looked over to Newt with a smile on her face. It had all been worth it and now they had a child of their own, and her face lit up even more when they were told that they had a healthy baby boy. Letting a few tears escape, she took their son into her arms and looked down at him, not being able to get rid of the smile that had broken out on her face.
“Newt...”
It was all she could say, she couldn’t even think of what else that she wanted to say that would make any sense.
