âI have a⌠slush on you. Or does âI glove youâ sound better?â {N o eDdIe}
"You know, don't ever quit your day job, Eds." Steve laughed, shaking his head as feet carried them both up to the gates of...what was this thing called again? Right, a Renaissance Festival. One had been in Indianapolis, and upon seeing Eddie's absolute excitement, Steve had agreed to go. He had never done anything like this, in fact, it was pretty rare for him to leave Hawkins, especially with everything going on with the Upside Down and never wanting to leave the kids alone.
Quite honestly, he had no idea what was to be expected here. The way Eddie had been describing it, it had kind of seemed like a live version of his Dungeons and Dragons campaigns. Steve had sat in on enough Hellfire Club meetings at this point that he could kind of understand the gist of it all, but that was never going to prepare him for what he was facing that day. It was a good thing that he loved Eddie. Or should he say, gloved.
"Maybe you could work as one of the jesters here. They have those things, right?" He had tried to at least learn a little so as not to disappoint. He knew there would be giant turkey legs, and people dressed up, and people talking in a weird language that Eddie sometimes spoke when he was Dungeon Master. Getting out their tickets, Steve looked over at the other with curiosity. "I'm totally out of my element here, man. You'll have to lead us to whatever you want to see first."
