I wanted to add a bit more about this headcanon, so... Rex Lapis is probably the only person aware of Ganyu’s past relationships. Most of the Adepti keep to themselves, far away from the city, but Rex Lapis frequents the city in the form of Zhongli, and has done so for millennia. And, who has worked in the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor all that time..? Who saw Ganyu come in to settle the estates of her recently-passed spouses multiple times..? Zhongli. 

Unless she’s very recently been in a relationship, none of the humans in Liyue are really going to know it. After all, her past relationships are so far back in time that none of the people currently living in Liyue were even born yet. And unless the humans working at the Funeral Parlor look far back into the records of their past business, they won’t know either. Ganyu is also not one to divulge much personal information about herself, so... if she tells you about her past lovers, she trusts you a lot!! 

She never kept any inheritances from her spouses, either, instead investing them back into Liyue and it’s people, donating them to charitable organizations, etc. All she kept from her past lovers are mementos... wedding bands, gifts she was given by them, etc. 

I just want to press that just because my muse is gay doesnt mean if im rping with your male muse DOES NOT MEAN im doing so to ship with you. I dont know if the rpc has just been accustomed to people being excited about a thread = they wanna ship — or what but I am ... tired. Sometimes people just want genuine interacts and want to actually plot and form dynamics. People want friendships, enemies, complicated relationships, family dynamics, etc. Theres NOTHING WRONG with shipping !! There is something wrong with assumptions one way or another.
