Oh, for real? It's the #soulstriprecordchallenge , brought to you by @kitten_e_face and @uncle_seabass ! Day 21: An album in which could be the perfect soundtrack to which movie? Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Multi-Love [Jagjaguwar, 2015] First off...lemme just say that I am a screw up. I screwed up on this in two different ways: Way 1: I am a day late. Granted, things happen, but I am trying to stay on tippy with these things. Way 2: I TOTALLY didn't comprehend this day challenge. What follows is my explanation of said comprehension. TAGLINE: Love triangles are a good excuse for drama. When arranged? Even better. I THOUGHT that the challenge was to find an album that would be a great soundtrack to a movie...but not necessarily an ACTUAL movie. More like...come up with a concept of a movie that an album could fit. So I loused that up, only to think that I was saved. We'll talk about that later. Inspired by his own arranged polyamory, Multi-Love is a modern indie pop gem featuring funky grooves, icy keys and soulful catchy vocals. The album revolves around a series of songs based on frontman Ruben Nielsen and his wife's relationship with a younger woman from Japan, ending with the expiration of her visa. With songs like "Necessary Evil", "The World Is Crowded" and "Can't Keep Checking My Phone", the album is a movie in and of itself! I thought that I was spared when I thought of the Robert Downey Jr. movie "Two Girls and a Guy", but the premise still doesn't stick. So imagine the movie I just made for you, doggone it! #albumchallenge #vinylchallenge #februarychallenge #unknownmortalorchestra #multilove #dopeness #chrislebrane
