As the boys grow, so does their curiosity about the surface. While some of them want to live up there one day, the others are more hesitant to trust humans. Leo and Raph especially, thuogh only Leo knows about Splinter's scar

This is the only one parter ever, I originally planned more but yall have been waiting for over a year for the main story to start (it's me, I'm yall). Maybe I'll tell you guys how they met April one day, I've had the story planned from the beginning
A few fun facts! April is in college right now living in her own apartment, when she first met the turtles Raph didn't trust her and it took him awhile to do so, but they're good friends now, Leo and Mikey warmed up to her immediately! Donnie was also cautious at first but not as much as Raph. They tried to hide their friendship with her from Splinter but he found out eventually and was releaved to be able to speak to a human again

Splinter often goes out to find items they need, he mostly looks for food, but children need more than food and shelter in their developmental years. Donnie is the most curious about what he brings home, and he's the first to discover the strange mutant tree's power
