So, I'm trying another roast in the multi-cooker. I did some research and discovered that I was adding way too much liquid as the slow cooker creates liquid from the meat and veggies. So this time I cut up the onions and mushrooms pretty chunky and sauteed them with baby potatoes seasoned with a salt, pepper and garlic blend. After they were tender I added a very well marbled chuck roast along with a bouillon cubes and a packet of pot roast seasonings. I added broth to about halfway of the meat and then added a good dash of worstershire sauce. I put it on 6 hrs cook time because the multi-cooker doesn't have low, medium or high for slow cook, and everything I've seen says the default setting is high. I did set an alarm for 4 hours just so I can check it out then.
Fingers crossed this will be good, because I was already over charged for the roast. I order my groceries via Shipt and the roast that I ordered was for around 1-1.5 lbs for about 7.00. However the shopper took it upon herself to purchase a 20.0 roast without letting me know. I would have asked for a cheaper one or if there were something else I could substitute. As it was this was a tight fight for the multi-cooker, but I made it work.
Fortunately, Shipt refunded me for this and the other 2 items that she completely subbed with something else. I was answering her texts promptly and giving substitute feed back, so I have no idea why she decided to go off script. My order ended up being 20 plus dollars over the original order and it actually put my account at .55 cents. And I wasn't able to tip her, which I would have done even with the messed up order because they are risking their lives to shop for me
😭😭😭
