For longer than I care to remember, SHARDS has been down for a technical glitch that I could not, for the life of me, figure out. But I finally dug out some rusty old tech-brain solutions and found the broken setting. Whew! Like Kintsugi (金継ぎ, “golden joinery”), the cracks are finally stuck back together . . . after several frustrating months. So many cool things happened during SHARDS’ down time…

I liked how organized Mulranny Beach was. The parking area wasn't that far from the main beach itself. Behind the beach, there was some interesting features which remind me of a cracked landscape. I believe that water has craved out various crevices and eventually widened to what they are today. I don't know if there is a name of this but I thought these were interesting features. I am not sure how the tides affect these features but they seem to be quite durable. They are so durable that the locals have put a bridge to cross one of the larger gaps. I supposed this is to make it easier to get to the beach.

I managed to find Mulranny Beach, which seems to be another point of interest along the Wild Atlantic Way. I merely followed the coastal route along Clew Bay and ended up at the village of Mulranny. I have passed through this village the previous day and I remember seeing a nice beach. I came back here to see this amazing beach of theirs. Mulranny Beach seems to be much busier than Achill. There were a lot more people here and I think I can see why. The beach here is quite big. This is a proper sandy beach and it looks nice. It was a nice day which is why people were out.
