Mullvans week Day 2: Family/Identity

To celebrate the ten year anniversary of Resident Evil 6 (October 2, 2012) we will be hosting a mullvans week! Rules and prompts to be announced shortly!

( Mullvans Week / Day One / Alternate Meeting ) “I said, our mission is to terminate the B.O.W.s.”

Piers’ eyes hit the ground as his captain’s words hung in the air. It wasn’t like him to go against Chris’ orders - at least not at a time like this - but a nagging sensation tugging at his chest told him if he didn’t act now, he would come to regret it later. What would’ve happened if they disappeared again? As much as he’d hate to admit it, the mercenary had crossed his mind more than once during the six months he and Sherry were reported missing. And so, in a decision that seemingly took all of two seconds to make, Piers shoved his way through his captain, down the stairs to the ground where the mercenary and his partner were leaving. 

“Looks like the boy scout's finally gained some independence,” Jake spoke only to Sherry, but intentionally loud enough for Piers to hear. Sherry quickly looked between the two men, looking for guidance right before Jake grabbed her shoulder to turn her towards the opposite direction of the agent now in front of them.

“Wait,” Piers finally stammered out, choosing his next words carefully. “We’re coming with you.”

“Yeah, thanks, but no thanks,” Jake let out a snarky exhale accompanied by a smirk, without turning around to face the other man. “We’re all good without help from a military-grade suck-up and his owner.”
