TULANE, WALL RESIDENTIAL HALL, CURTAINWALL FACADE SECTION

this is a stick-glazed system - the vertical mullion is mounted first and attached to the slab edge with t-shaped brackets. then the horizontal mullions are added in between the vertical members. then the glass panels are added from the outside and secured with glazing caps (alternately, the glass panels could be secured with a silicone strip between the glass, this would make the glass wall "flush"). on the bottom of the drawing (the condition at the ceiling above the ground level) the horizontal mullion is mounted to a continuous steel angle bolted to the slab edge.

note: these are 3" = 1'-0" scale drawings; for a 1/2" scale wall section the amount of information and lines would be reduced...the drawing would be abstracted to its essential elements.
