Lmao we were really fooled by this season to think they’d somehow handle it better than OG had!
Like they had ALL the makings of a great foundation. Even with Sofiane being Muslim, there could have been conflicting issues like parental disapproval, friends not getting it, microaggressions, misunderstandings. All of it would have been fine and interesting.
What we got was this hot mess of shitty writing.
Seriously, navigating dating for Imane is hard enough considering she’s a traditionalist that wants to go about things the old fashioned way. We see it in how she’s so reserved about Sofiane even when she thought he was Muslim. She’s not the type of girl that was cool with dating in the first place but she liked a boy and made a huge step for herself in putting herself out there to the idea. That was honestly a story in itself and would have avoided adding so much Manon drama that no one cares about at this point.
