Logan is a Mudgee style leader, their cellar door is elegant, and simple with tremendous elevated views of the vines and surrounding countryside.  They have thought of every elegant touch, from the glasses, to the pencils, to the coasters, to their flawless series of wine labels.  Even their budget Apple Tree Flat wines have great labels, and look anything but cheap.  Loved the Weemala 2009 Gewurztraminer with my Thai Takeaway that night.
Love the simple designs of these labels. Â Logan have a great selection of wine labels at all ends of the price spectrum.
Next we visited Lowe Family Wines, a wonderful experience. Â David Lowe was himself working and took me on a tremendous tasting adventure. Â I loved my afternoon at Lowe's for it's rustic wonder, a complete contrast to Logan's. Â I kicked back in the sunshine amongst the barrels, and hustle bustle of a working winery whilst my children picked figs and ran wild amongst the rocks and lavender. Â The Louee labels appealed to my critical label eye. Â David treated me to Riesling tasting and the 2004 Louee Riesling was my absolute wine highlight of the trip, I brought a bottle of the 2010 which I will now stand guard over in the hope it turns from a rather nice drop of riesling to the absolute delight that is the 2004.
Marveling at the art of a good riesling
