It wasn’t a good day.

Work had been more overwhelming than usual and it seemed like you couldn’t really catch a break. Which is what led you here, in some spare comfy clothes you kept in your car, an oversized shirt and cozy shorts. Your legs emerged in the water of an off the path river, taking deep slow breaths as you tried to let the day wash away from you.

But some emotions were harder to let go than others, so in the peaceful privacy of your little hidden grove, you let the tears fall. Letting it all go as the air around you filled with soft little sobs. Life was overwhelming sometimes, that’s okay, it’s why you had moments like these where you could feel safe.

But it seemed like the insects weren’t the only thing that heard you. Deep brown eyes blinking up at you from the bed of the river, but there was no sinister intent, they seemed filled with… concern.

Making sure to move slowly, barely disturbing the water as it rose to the height of your knee. You only noticed it when you wiped away your tears, letting out a startled yelp as you went to retract your legs from the water, only for the being to place a muddy hand on your knee, puppy-like eyes looking up at you.

A large being made of what seemed like mud was in front of you, distinguishable features were its eyes and big arms and soft hands that touched you like you were a delicate flower. Body shaped in a feminine way, soft curves and chest more obvious as it peeked out of the water more and more. This wasn’t a swamp monster, it was a gentle giant that only wanted to comfort you.

You swallowed softly as you settled back in place, the being looked down to your knee and saw that her mud left a mess on your skin, a soft grunt leaving her as she tried to use water to wash it off but only smudging it around. Her sincerity made you let out a soft little laugh as you put a hand over her own, gentle words leaving you

“It’s okay~ I don’t mind”

She couldn’t really understand you, but she understood your body movements. You weren’t scared or annoyed, in fact you seemed to enjoy her presence, something that made her feel a warm emotion she hadn’t felt in a very long time.

You saw her become hesitant, looking to your soft thighs and looking back up to you, asking a silent question. A sweet smile spread on your lips as you nodded your head, moving slowly and encouraging her to rest her head against your thighs. You didn’t really care if she left a mess of mud on your skin, that’s what showers were for.

A deep content rumbling came up from the beings chest, nuzzling against your thighs and wrapping her strong arms around your legs to cuddle closer. It was as if the weight of the day had been lifted off of you, no longer feeling the heavy emotions that had plagued you not minutes before.

You gently pet her head, closing your eyes and listening to the deep purring coming from the creature, feeling the breeze on your skin. The sound of the birds and the insects lulling you to a state of sweet serenity, and you forgot about work, about your bills. About all of the little troubles in life, and just for a moment, you simply existed, enjoying the peace that nature had to offer.

Maybe you’d start to go outside more often.

It was about this fox that needed to collect a bunch of fairies but this mud goop monsters would run at fulls speed towards the fox devouring them all, it was a plataform run trought a really sketchy website but god how much i loved it, a shame i cannot longer find it.

Except this time the mud monster decided to grace us with her presence and emerge from the hole from whence she came.
