Crashing down through the door into stranger’s place, the Black Kaiser swiftly turned, already on his knee, gun pointed at the entrance of the door. He was ready to strike the chasers. But no one came. As the distant echoing of voices disappeared, the silence fell almost comfortably. 

It was so til the moment he realised that he wasn’t alone. In one sharp movement his pistol was pointed sideways, at the source of the movement.
