Car Fires
Today I assisted in proctoring a Firefighter I practical exam! We went through the lengthy process of lighting the same car on fire twenty-three times and putting it out over the course of 7 hours. The car is hooked up to a series of propane emitting pipes that are lit with a road flare, which just so happened to be in my hand every time the car needed lighting.....go figure right.....?.....Anyway, after that, the candidates had to attack the car with a charged hose line and successfully extinguish the fire and any possible rekindles. It was a great experience.
