Today's hike started at the top of Buckhorn Campground in an attempt to hike the Burkhart Trail. Sinking knee deep into the snow proved to be a bit challenging so we opted instead for the Silver Moccasin Trail off of Chilao Campground and headed north. Lots of snow, a juicy Jerusalem cricket, and beautiful vistas were the highlights of the day.
