17 years ago today, my band Semiautomatic just got back around the 1st week of September 2001 from over 2 months tour of the US and started working on a bunch of songs for the movie Better Luck Tomorrow, of which we had a deadline. The day of 9/11, we woke up early and was laying some drums, when Josh Dake called and said a plane hit the WTC. We went to the top of Fort Greene park to see it, and went to donate blood. All phone was dead, so we couldnt call Justin Lin and Ernesto to tell them we have to stop working on the soundtrack because of 9/11. The movie was delayed and didnt get done until 2002. Pretty sure 9/11 influenced the songs we made for the movie in an aggro way.
