I’ve had a few opportunities to enter U.S. military bases in Japan, and that’s where I came across a drink called Mountain Dew. When I tried it, I was amazed by how incredibly good it tasted.

Basically, that soda isn’t really sold in Japan, so to me, Mountain Dew is the taste of America.

And honestly, American sweets are just the best! I’m not sure if it’s because cinnamon isn’t as common in Japan, but foods like cinnamon rolls aren’t very widespread here. Occasionally, some fancy bakeries try to recreate American-style cinnamon rolls, but they just can’t compare to the real thing.
