I'm curious about Stev and Li getting to Evershine! Is their journey continuous with their Sandrock story? If so, what made them leave for Evershine?
The EverShine and Sandrock versions are actually their own canons through different circumstance! The Sandrock version of their romance is sort of a “post canon divergence” where stev just returns to Sandrock after a couple of years and builds a life with li.
For EverShine, li and Stev just meet at the settlement and that’s where the romance starts. There used to be a version where they met in Sandrock and Li moves to the settlement after finding out Stev is there, but then I figured I liked my canon divergence more even if it’s “not official”. Even Stev’s hair is a little different
For Sterli- Who made the first move romantically? Who reached to hold hands first ? Who initiated the first kiss? Who is the big spoon and who is the little spoon? Since Stev is from a place where diets consist mostly of cabbage- would Li enjoy sharing food with him? What would be their favorites? If they were in modern day what kind of movies/tv shows/anime/ect would they like to watch together?
I hope this answers the first few questions hehe ….
As for food, I headcanon that stev has a passion hobby for cooking and learns to make lots of tasty stuff courtesy of Owen in his free time after work at the civil corps and will bring home what he learns to make for li. The same is true in EverShine, where he learns cooking while at the settlement and uses that as his love language. Years of cabbage torture made him a lot more adventurous in his food exploration.
In a modern au that I actually do have, Stev is sort of what you’d except for the average guy (tm): Star Wars, whatever shonen anime is trending or easy to get into (Attack on Titan maybe), and then any cooking or food show. Li leans more into watching anime and western animation, stuff like Lackadaisy and Over the Garden Wall or Inside Job
