Mt. Moonlight || Brock + ??
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā When it came to the tunnels beneath Mt. Moon, there wasnāt much that Brock hadnāt already explored. Only the recently-excavated parts were anything new to him, and Brock always had time to watch the local paleontologists work, and offer his help when he could.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Heād been assisting them as-needed for a while, but it was only when he began to feel tired that Brock realized what time it was. A moment of instinctual worry gripped him at the thought of having lost track of time and what that would mean for his siblings, but the concern eased when he remembered that JirÅ had promised to put everyone to bed so he could have the night off. Right.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Waving goodnight to his friends on the team, Brock headed up toward the surface. He knew the cave paths by heart now, and made his way through them with ease, eventually emerging from the tunnels to one of the highest spots on the mountain. Overhead the full moon shone down on the peak, illuminating the area despite the late hour. The nearby shop had been closed for hours now, but Mt. Moon Square was always a relaxing place to take a break in.
Ā Ā Ā Ā He took a seat on some of the rocks near the picket fence surrounding the crater, gazing down at the small pool of water. The surface was so still, with the way it reflected the moon it could almost be a mirror. Brock followed the reflection skyward, staring up at the moon and the faintly visible stars.
Ā Ā Ā Ā With a sigh he leaned back, ignoring the slight discomfort of the rocks beneath him. Heād have to head back home before it got too lateāhis days of camping out in the wilds of the region were long behind himābut for now it couldnāt hurt to take a moment and enjoy the quiet.
