She doesn’t actually care about blood purity. Not in the sense that everyone else does. Flora isn’t about elevating the purebloods above everyone else. No, she wants to pull them down. She wants them to be responsible for their hypocrisy too-- the Sacred Twenty-Eight are full of families with blood traitors and those that married muggles/muggleborns, but they still get to be champions of the blood purity movement? Flora doesn’t care what muggleborns are doing or that they’re there, she’s definitely more fixated on what purists are saying and doing than anything else going on in the war. And if she could safely screw over one of those families, she absolutely would. 

Tilden is afraid to come out to her parents not because she’s worried they’ll reject her, but because she’s afraid they’ll be accepting of it. She and her parents have become so estranged from them over the years, that she actually wishes she could sever that last tie with them and be done, just move on from her old life before she became part of the wizarding world. But she can’t quite bring herself to do it, so she continues to be discontent with her current situation out of fear that if she confronts the problem, she’ll end up being  stuck permanently with the parents she no longer feels connected to as her own. 

Hercules misses his parents sometimes. He knows he shouldn’t, and he knows they were never good or present parents, but he still finds that he misses them now and then. His father, while not a warm or loving person, was intelligent, and he knows that he has his mother’s stubbornness and confidence. He can see them in himself, and it’s hard for him to completely renounce his old life like some of his other siblings can.
