Hey, anon! This is a heck of a complicated question, so Iām going to try to answer it to the best of my ability!! Here goes~I have spent a lot of myĀ āadultā life in relationships. Some of them went pretty well, and some of them didnāt go so well at all. Either way, right, now, Iām single. I am a person who sort of has āblindersā when I am in a monogamous relationship ā I donāt really think about other people at all. I have also been in poly relationships, but whether you are poly or monogamous, there is a lot of commitment that goes into a relationship. I pour my heart and my soul and a lot more into any relationship Iām in, and looking back on some of them, I think⦠perhaps we had rushed things. When I am not in a committed relationship, things arenāt so cut and dry.Ā āDo you like someoneā - thatās a loaded question, in a way. Even when Iām in a relationship, I have a ton of different kinds of love for different people. I care deeply - even though I seem like a very logical person, itās still very much in my nature.Ā So basically what Iām saying is that⦠I like spending time with people, Iām attracted to peopleās intelligence, their behaviors, their passions. At risk of sounding like an alien, humans are amazing and fascinating and I am anĀ āoutgoing introvertā - I recharge alone, but I like being with people. And I want to take people out on dates, spend time with them - no strings attached. But NOT because I donāt ever want there to be commitment. Call me a romantic, but what I want in a relationship more than anything is to fall so hard and so long for someone that by the time I finally ask them out (or maybe vice versa), Itās because I canāt imagine not being together and I donāt want to see anyone else.Ā I think, sometimes, weāre so desperate for something that we forget to enjoy the build up. While Iām single, I just want to make people happy, and cherish my time with others. Whether itās a date, or friends hanging out, or anything in between. I wonāt jump into anything with someone - I wonāt fixate on one person, not right now. Because when it does finally come to that point, I want to make sure that weāre both ready.Ā
