I am married #MrsG,” she captioned a picture of herself in a traditional outfit. Several stars, including Terry Pheto and Sonia Mbele, took to the comment’s section to congratulate her. “Ohhh my darling sister, congratulations,” Sonia wrote. Terry commented: “Congratulations sis.” Mmatema is extremely private when it comes to her relationship and rarely talks about the man in her life “I’m in a relationship which is private but definitely not a secret,” she told Drum magazine last year. Despite being tight lipped about their romance, Mmatema has shared several pictures of her partner on Instagram. The couple are even known to wear matching outfits from time to time. They might have married in the “month of love” but don’t expect these newlyweds to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Mmatema is not a big fan of the day. “I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day and I actually don’t have a reason for it,” she said in 2018. It’s only the first week of February and 2019 looks set to be a big year for Mmatema. Not only did she marry the love of her life, but she recently revealed that she bagged a role on popular soapie, Rhythm City “It’s been such a great learning experience for me… If anybody had told me that I would be the girl people are talking about when they say singer, presenter and actress, I would have laughed at you… to end up on a soapie was what I thought was far-fetched but clearly, God had different plans,” she told TshisaLIVE.
