I donât feel like posting fandom related things today. Iâm heartbroken by what happened last night, watching the news as it went down was terrifying and sickening and it doesnât feel right to go on right away. We have a national grief declared for three days and, although I donât think Iâll be away for the entire time, I wonât be as chatty and fangirly as usual. I especially donât want to see some posts or to receive some asks full of hate and disrespect and ignorance. People who are accusing Muslims need to learn the differences between them and Islamist people. Ideally, they would open the Quran and see that it is very critical of terrorism and killings. And friendly reminder there are nut jobs in every religions. Hiding behind God (no matter the name you give Him/Her) to perpetrate murders has nothing to do with the true believers, their religion whatever it is shouldnât be seen as the root of this evil. Terrorists and extremists usually donât even know whatâs really in their Holy Book and they put meanings in the rules of those religions that were never there in the first place. As for the people who say we deserve it for sheltering (or not sheltering enough in some cases) refugees : lots of them arenât even Muslims, let alone extremists! Educate yourselves ffs : all Muslims arenât Arabs or from Arab origins ; all Arabs arenât Muslims. And in both cases : EXTREMISM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ARABS AND/OR MUSLIMS! Stop with the amalgams and open a book, once in your life. You know who those refugees are? Terrified people who had to flee their homes and seek shelters in places which unfortunately canât do enough for them. Terrified people who risk everything to get away from terrorism. They are victims too and we canât protect them, as they found out in the most violent way possible last night. We canât because we are all on the same boat, the one terrorists are trying to sink with blood and fear. Donât add your hate and ignorance to the fuel.Â
If you say that France deserves what happened, if you accuse Muslims or refugees, if you throw your shitty thoughts at me or any of my followers or the people I follow, I will block you and report you for hate. Yes, it is a possibility! No oneâs been talking about it as far as I know, but the staff can come after your sorry ass for being an hateful jerk and I wonât hesitate to report you.Â
If you follow me and want to have a nice time on Tumblr and donât want to see any posts about killings, terrorism, etc. feel free to blacklist my âimportantâ tag as Iâll put all posts regarding the attacks underneath it. I wonât juge you if you do it, I respect the fact that some people want Tumblr to be a safe haven!
