This Asian palm civet pup was treated and released back into the wild to get more training from mum. Like most carnivores, pups rely entirely on their mothers to learn how to hunt and survive in the wild, then they lead solitary lives as adults. Civets are fascinating animals that occupy a unique middle ground in the ecosystem. Often called “cats”, they’re not felines at all, but of the family Viverridae.

The staff at our Elephant Rehabilitation Centre (ERC) in Haryana is limited to only vets and caregivers, so we don’t get awesome photos of the elephants as often as we’d like. But when we do, it sure warms our hearts. This photo of Ella and Erika going for a walk in the dense forest of the facility makes us want to walk with them and enjoy the peace, quiet and elephant sounds!

Suraj is a connoisseur of only the finest hats. The distinguished gentleman showed off his latest colourful creation recently on a relaxing evening walk at the Elephant Conservation and Care Centre.
