Last Words
Howl had a hard time leaving Isabella with anyone but Claire had assure him Alan was trustworthy (and since both she and his mother had made plans he really had little choice on the matter). He looked at his watch for half a second before turning his attention to Izzy.
"Gonna have a good day with Tio Alan hmm?" he asked but all she did was hit her doll against the playpen. It was weird that although she was getting close to two years she hardly said a word. Now, he wasn't expecting her to sing him a sonnet but she couldn't even reply with one word questions.
His mother had said that it was normal, some kids were just late bloomers. The idea of introducing her to a daycare with other children her age came up, but the few he'd found just weren't right. He always found something wrong with them.
He looked at his watch again, not that he was in a hurry it was his nerves about the upcoming interview. He hated meeting with his parole officer.
