The train might be late today

His pale green eyes are narrowed in suspicion and his nose glows a bright blue. Third on the top row is Eustace Scrubb as a dragon from Chronicles of Narnia. He is a pale orange dragon with horns and scraggly spines along his back. He has prominent eye ridges over his pale blue eyes and wears a soft smile. First on the second row is a Malzeno from Monster Hunter. It has a bright pink belly and pale tan scales along its back. Its mouth opens in a growl with a pink frill spread along its sides. Its skull-like head has very bright pink eyes that glow with power. Next is Mr Conductor from Dinosaur Train. He is a bright orange Troodon with feathers. He wears a red vest and red conductors hat. His mouth is open in a wide grin as he waves to the audience. Last on the bottom row is Wheatley from Portal. He is a round robot with a bright blue like in the center that forms an eye. It is half closed, narrowed if you will, in annoyance with handles forming eyebrows of sorts. He is suspended by a large boom with wires. /End]

Oh baby. Finished this bad boy finally. It was great to draw characters that are mostly outside my fandoms. The only one I knew super well was Toothless, and kind of Eustace. I've definitely seen Wheatley and the Conductor before, but hadn't really looked at them too much.

Odgne is a cool black-purple dragon from Dragonfable. She looks pretty rad in the minimal art I could find of her.

Toothless was a delight to finally draw. I really have been wanting to draw some animated HTTYD fanart. He is wonderful. I love movie 1 Toothless so much it hurts. I love his personality in all the movies, but the design from movie 1 is just so good.

Eustace! I forgot about him!! He is played by that eyebrow guy!! And I think he has a pretty cool design. Kind of generic but his scrungly chin dangles and spines make him look so disheveled. I love it. Also go back and watch movie 1 for Narnia. The effects on the lion are so good.

And now Monster Hunter. I need to draw more Monster Hunter creatures. Like I need to. Malzeno is such a cool species and just barely scratches the surface. It is so cool! Love the pink color scheme and the skull motif.

Mr Conductor seem rad. I watched a few clips of dinosaur train to prepare for this to get his personality. And he is a Troodon! So I made him a bit more 'realistic.' But you know what. I was very very tempted to draw him as the really spooky Jurassic Park version that was blind and had big eyes and would rip you apart. But I couldn't do that because he seems like such a sweet character!!

Fun Fact: When Thomas & Friends was brought to the US in 1989 courtesy of the PBS series Shining Time Station, Ringo Starr, who narrated all 52 episodes of the first two seasons of the series in the UK, reprised his role as the narrator for the US dub, where he redubbed several episodes with US terminology (the most common changes were Freight Cars instead of Trucks and Sir Topham Hatt being referred to by his proper name rather than by his nickname The Fat Controller) in addition to playing the character Mr. Conductor.

After the first season of Shining Time Station concluded in 1990, Starr left the series and the late comedy legend George Carlin took on the role of the US narrator and Mr. Conductor for the rest of Shining Time Station's run.

Despite renarrating a majority of the episodes from the first two seasons of Thomas, Starr didn't renarrate all of them by the time he left (possibly due to them airing out of order), leaving ten episodes unrecorded by him in the US.

As a result, these episodes are only available in the US with Carlin's narration (Carlin, in addition to narrating the third and fourth seasons of the series, also redubbed the first two seasons for consistency).

These ten episodes are:

Whistles and Sneezes (this is the only episode from the first season that was not renarrated by Ringo Starr for the US, and aired long after all the other episodes from said season)

Break Van (retitled Donald and Douglas in the US)

The Deputation

Daisy (this episode and Percy's Predicament never aired on Shining Time due to the producer's dislike of the title character and were instead released on home video in 1993)
