Hyeri fiddled with the wide map she received of the sanctuary on her first week. She fidgeted. She had always felt somewhat awkward in crowds of people she didn’t know, and she stayed silent in her seat, opening the colored magazine-like page. She can’t believe they actually provide maps to the place, as if it was a running tour of a new city. 

Well, it kind of was.

The head of the orientation had taken the stage, and volunteers were being introduced to them one by one to become their buddies on the day tour. They looked strangely giddy, and that alone made her highly uncomfortable. She preferred to explore on her own, and who knows if she get paired with someone she can’t stand? Her first week in Mount Phoenix and she didn’t want to get a sanction for maiming someone.

Hyeri didn’t know why she consented to this. She thought that it would be light and short, but it apparently went on until lunch, and after that if they want to tour with their buddy some more. Hyeri didn’t have buddies, nor did she want one. The girl sighed, folding the map neatly and stuffing it into her satchel.
