po-1320 medieval samples on mpc 500
Collection of beats and tributes including a take on Dr. Dre's 'Lil Ghetto Boy' and RBL Posse's 'Don't Give Me No Bammer Weed'. For the great break beats, and beat producers and emcees of the past. Still learning so much from it all. Still much more to come. Used an MPC 500. Beats are about 95% samples. Single track recordings with some compressor and EQ added after for a good portion of these.

Akai MPC pads are notorious for their both their extreme durability and sensitivity – but the abuse on these can add up over the years and lead to a less than responsive machine. Controllerists have been known to chop up their cheaper midi controllers and even build new casings or add button to create a one-off product, but few would be willing to take apart their prized MPC.
Servando Barreiro was ballsy enough to crack open his MPC 500 and take a look inside.
