Accompanying him on the road had always been exciting, though she found herself constantly being told no. Whether it was asking to stand ringside or sit at commentary -- the management team felt she was a risk. And she was. If she was there, he wouldn't be focused on his match, which he didn't need. He was supposed to be a dominant force within the company and distractions couldn't be part of that.
As his match started, though, she managed to finally have her way. Whether it was because she constantly asked or if Vince was in a particularly good mood -- she was allowed down the ramp. His shield co-members walked beside her, almost monitoring her every step. They had been sent down to keep her safe, ensuring nothing would happen, which she was truly thankful for. She didn't want to face the same injuries the superstars had to, because she knew she wasn't cut out for it.
However, her time at ringside went from exciting, to terrifying rather quickly. It happened so fast, leaving her clueless as to what was happening. Part of her wanted to run, but her body was sent forward and she could only assume it was because she had been in the way. Her body hit the barricade, before rolling to the floor. Her eyes were squeezed shut, pain radiating through her body. It seemed like everything stopped, until she felt a hand wrapped around hers. “I’m okay,” she whispered, the words sounding more unsure than she had hoped. “Go finish the match..” But as the bell rang, she knew it was over.
