mouseolaw replied to your video âAll Polk has ever wanted in life is a dirty running sock to call her...â
The only toy my cat ever cared about was one of my dadâs socks rolled up in the other sock which was tied off. She had that thing for 17 years. She would sleep with it and carry it around most nights.
They do love socks in general. One of their toys is an old sock with no match that I stuffed a catnip toy into and tied off. Polk loves to beat up on it.Â

PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE KEEPING THOSE.
Oh yes. I have a glass jar Iâve put them in for safekeeping. I found a third this morning, sitting in the middle of my duvet.Â

You have no idea how many cats I've known well and never seen kitty baby tooth.
A lot of people donât know cats throw their baby teeth, I think because cats tend to hide/swallow them. This is the first time Iâve ever actually seen a catâs baby tooth after itâs been shed, though weâve had half a dozen cats in my lifetime.Â

wait wait wait - how old are they? want to know to figure out if my little one will get there soon because she's like 3 months old right now and gnaws absolutely everything (which may just be a her thing)
Mine were born sometime in late March, so theyâre four and a half to five months old. This is the first real sign theyâve been teething at all, unless you count Polkâs penchant for chewing plastic.Â
There are teething toys you can buy for kittens, and I have a couple, but they donât really seem to use them as chewing toys.Â

Would you do a Tiny!Steve meets MCU!Steve? (I seem to remember some comments about that from you, but I can't remember if they were in the negative or not.)
Title: Steve Versus the Multiverse 2/3: MCURating: PGSummary: Agent Steve Rogers is adrift in the multiverse; Captain Steve Rogers is still a little adrift in his own world, and can relate.Â
Continued from Part One.Â
âSo youâre telling me,â Steve said slowly, gazing at the small man seated in front of him, âthat you are from another universe.â
âYeah.â
âAnd you were told this by a version of Tony Stark, also from another universe, but not your other universe.â
âIf itâs any consolation, I probably wonât be around long,â the other Steve replied. âI was only in the last one for a couple of hours. But I guess thereâs probably no way to tell.â
Steve rubbed his forehead. âShould I be calling our Tony Stark?â
âI donât think thereâs much point. Just, I donât know, give me somewhere quiet to hang out for a while.â The other Steve looked out the broad window of the training facilityâs conference room, watching as Vision and Wanda practiced a grab-and-carry maneuver, a modified version of one that Steve and Thor spent a lot of time on.Â
âCan I ask,â Steve said, drawing his attention back again. âYou said youâre fromâŚnow, not â not like me.â
âOr the other Steve I met,â he said. âBut youâre both Captain America, and Iâm just a Captain America fanboy, so that makes sense,â he added with a faint smile.Â
âDo you have â do you have a Bucky?â Steve asked, and immediately regretted it. âDonât, you donât have to answer that â â
âOf course I do. You must too, if you asked.â
âNot right now,â Steve murmured. The other man frowned. âHe â Hydra got hold of him. They did something to him. Brainwashed him, I donât even know if he knows who he is anymore. Iâm trying to find him now but Iâm not having much luck.â
The other Steve exhaled sympathetically. âThatâs rough. Thatâs really dark, Iâm sorry.âÂ
Steve shrugged. âGuess I just wanted to know if heâs okay, if yours isâŚsafe.â
âSure. Safe and happy.â Steve nodded at the window, where Sam and Vision were discussing some kind of dive maneuver. âHe and Sam are engaged.â
ââŚBucky and Sam?â Steve asked, shocked.Â
âYeah. Where I come from, Buck came back from the war with some real problems. I donât know if youâd say Sam saved him, but â yeah. Actually. I think Sam did save him. Samâs amazing,â he said, and Steve had to agree. Sam was amazing.
âI uh. I wouldnât mind the saving, but I hope that doesnât happen here,â Steve said, rubbing the back of his head.Â
The other Steve laughed. âYou and Sam? For real? Man, thatâs lucky for you. I mean, I wouldnât give up Tony for anything, but Samâs a real catch â â
âYou and Tony. Tony Stark?â
âWhy is everyone so surprised by that?â he asked, sounding amused.Â
âJust. Itâs Tony.â Steve shook his head. âI like the guy but I really have to spend a lot of time reminding myself of that so I donât strangle him.âÂ
âI did notice a significant absence,â the other said. âHey, can I ask you something?â
âThis day just gets weirder. Sure,â Steve replied.Â
âYou want to spar with me?âÂ
Steve blinked down at him. âYou. And me. Sparring. Look, we both know how tough you are, but â â
âJust, I want to see how our fighting styles measure up. Come on, itâll be fun. Bet I floor you at least once.â
Steve glanced outside. Vision was hovering at the window with Wanda on his back, both of them peering in; Vision smiled and waved when he saw Steve looking. Next to him, Sam was sitting on the shoulders of the War Machine armor, fiddling with one of the smaller shoulder-mounted guns. Natasha was hanging upside-down from a grappling rope, calmly checking her email on her phone. Rhodey was watching the little guy with a faint smile on his face.Â
âYou mind if the team watches?â he asked. âIf you do mind, Iâm afraid you donât have much choice.â
âBring it on,â the other Steve said with a laugh. âIâll do my best not to embarrass you.âÂ
***
Half an hour later, Captain America lay on the mats in the sparring room and blinked.
âHoly heck,â he said, when he got his wind back. âHow are you so fast?â
Agent Rogers â Steve decided heâd definitely earned the honorific â reached down and helped haul him to his feet.
âNatasha,â he said. Natasha, sitting nearby, beamed at him. âIf you canât be strong, be fast. If you canât be fast, be sneaky. Youâre a nice guy, Big Rogers, but youâre not sneaky.â
Steve shot a rueful look at the others, who knew this better than anyone. âNo, thatâs not one of my strong suits.â
Agent Rogers was bruised, bleeding in a couple of places, and looked worn out; heâd taken several falls already. But Steve had to admit heâd given him a run for his money in the sheer stubborness department, and he was a better fighter than Steve could have dreamed of being as a little guy. Steve had to work for every victory, and Agent Rogers was doing better than men literally twice his size had sometimes done.Â
âIâm not certain I understand the end goal of this exercise,â Vision said, studying the pair of them with keen eyes. âEmotionally, testing oneâs strength against oneself may be cathartic, but you are hardly very alike.â
âI think weâre probably more alike than either of us wants to admit,â Steve said.Â
âBesides, variety is the spice of life,â Agent Rogers added with a smile, but it was fleeting; his eyes seemed to unfocus briefly, and he staggered a little, one arm going wide to maintain his balance.
âYou okay?â Steve asked, catching him by the elbow.
âItâs happening again â be out of your hair real soon,â Rogers said. âHey, listen â about Bucky â âÂ
âDonât worry about that, what can we do for you?â Steve asked.
âNothing, Iâm fine. When you find him, hold on tight, okay? Bucky anâ me, weâre not meant to be apart.â Rogers looked up at him, face pale, lips bloodless, and gave him an attempt at a grin. âAnd hold onto Sam, too. Donât let that asshole steal your man.âÂ
There was a brief flash of light, not even much brighter than a firecracker, and he was gone.Â
âWait,â Wanda said, into the silence that followed. âYou and Sam?â
