i clean outdoor drinking fountains ("bubblers") & sometimes people will come up to me while i'm cleaning and ask if it's ok for them to drink from it. and i want to say "no? why would you do that to yourself" and ask them what went so wrong that they had to resort to this, because to me that's something you only do when you're literally about to die of dehydration. it's ok for kids to do it because they're supposed to be swallowing small amounts of animal shit so they can get a good immune system i think. but seeing a grown adult drink out of an outdoor water fountain is as embarrassing as seeing them drink toilet water. i wonder if they know how dirty it is and don't care or if they just never learnt that rat shit can give you diseases. i wish i could be as carefree as them except i don't because i don't want to have rat diseases.
