Sharing more about my Miraculous Ladybug AU:
Basically, I put all the characters and miraculous on a wheel and spun to determine kwami swaps and romance endgame.
So! Adrien still sees Master Fu collapse in front of the school and helps him up, passing his test but getting caught by Nathalie…but Chloé knows he’s supposed to be there and worries when he’s not, so she sends Sabrina out to look for him. She comes out and sees Nathalie preparing to take him back home. Long story short: Sabrina convinces Nathalie to let Adrien stay, Fu sees her do this, and he decides to give Sabrina the Black Cat, and Adrien the Ladybug. And thus, we get the Tales of Mr. Bug and Catrina Noir!
There is no love square. In fact, Mr. Bug and Catrina Noir know each other’s identities. Fu slipped the miraculous in their bags when no one was looking, because the fact that the jewelry boxes were placed in their rooms in canon is both confusing and disturbing. When Stoneheart first attacked, Roger picked up Sabrina, Adrien, and Chloé and dropped them off at the Raincomprix’s house to hide. Chloé wanders off to call her dad, and Sabrina and Adrien inevitably find the jewels in their bags…while sitting right next to each other. Tikki can’t do anything about it, Plagg doesn’t care, the kids don’t know about the Identity Rule in the first place, and Master Fu hated that rule anyway, so it’s overruled.
Furthermore, Sabrina and Adrien are not a couple. There’s nothing there. But, Adrien falls in love with Marinette…who’s initially repulsed by him because he’s friends with Chloé. She eventually warms up to him, but never reciprocates his feelings. Instead, she falls in love with Kagami, and because I put the only two decent love interests he had together, Adrien remains single. Any other couples are unchanged.
After like two seasons, Alix is gifted her family heirloom: the Mouse Miraculous. I don’t know why the Rabbit was dormant in canon, so I ignored that and made Alix join the main team as Rattyx!
I’ll go into other swaps and story beats later, to do it all here would be tangential and take forever to type.
