i was an oldhead in the western cr fandom whos sorta fallen out of it recently (think its almost 7 years now which is longer than like 95% of the eng fandom), but i remember really old drama about roguefort cookie's gender because (allegedly, i dont actually remember) in all the non eng text versions theyre referred to as masculine or male
do people really still fight over the version differences so much they deny what the original text said?? someone is allowed to prefer english versions of things, of course, but saying the english is the only correct text is naive... if its all 'official', its all technically 'canon', and theres nothing wrong with preferring the original either...

I took most of my crob information from Merchant (Hi Merchant!!) who has been 9 years from crob fandom and they told me that the drama surrounding cookie genders is much worse then before. 😬
