Retrospective: Motörhead - Motörizer
In the same way that Kiss of Death felt like a direct continuation of Inferno, Motörizer feels like a direct continuation of Kiss of Death.
It still has that heavy duty backbone, but it has drifted further back into the band’s classic hard rock sound. At first, I really thought this was a big step down from Kiss of Death, but I think my first impression was wrong. While I still prefer many of the tracks on the previous album, I think the overall quality on Motörizer is actually higher.
There isn’t a ton to say about this record. It’s the same Motörhead as the last two records and it’s very good. Recommended. Oh, and if any metalcore fans are reading this for some reason, this is the only Motörhead record that contains breakdowns. Only a single, very brief one, but it’s there!
