Random bits & bobs from the archives. I sometimes think about getting a personal art site up (as was once more common) that I can manage myself; it was fun to peruse artists' own galleries including doodles and such that disappear over time in the flow of socials but remain interesting & worth seeing.

I don't get the attitude that seems to have developed around art having an expiry date or online artists being expected to have something new every few days. Art you enjoy is just as nice to look at years later; a collection of it even moreso. Wandering around in the record of someone's journey.

If you visit me and I hand you a pile of my sketchbooks to look at, I am not just trusting you to handle them, I am inviting you to look into Me. And the Me that lives in my art does not die. Not even when I do. That's how I feel about it.
