Hello! I haven't read the novel in ages, but I followed the spoilers from @wapdyn & @sirsirgirl (sorry for the tags) <- they're the most reliable sources when it comes to MOTH

- Yes, this is a real harem ending. Latil ended up with all her husbands: Tasir, Guesta, Klein, Carlein, Ranamun, Zaicin, Girgol, Meradim & Sonnaught. And she chose Tasir as the Gukseo (official consort?)

Woah, this is a tricky question. How should I answer this? I guess it all depends on what you call a male lead.

The novel was officially completed last year, and although I firmly believe that a spin off series will eventually be launched, those 1000 chapters are all we got right now. That being said, Latil does stay married to her eight consorts at the end of the series. So if what you’re looking for is to know if she stays with only one of them, then the answer is no.

However, if you’re weighing on whose the male romantic interest with more relevance throughout the story, then it wouldn’t be honest to say they all qualify to be the male lead. For instance, Meradim never had any romantic interest in Latil and viceversa, Klein appearances’ significantly decreased in the last two hundred chapters (he was basically non existent in the side stories and I dare to say long before that), and Ranamun/ Sonnaught were barely seen together with Latil after they became parents, Girgol was constantly leaving for long periods of time, Carlein is a similar case to Klein, and although Guesta was helpful to Latil, their frequent fights made their relationship grow cold at times.

For all I’ve listed, and because imo he was the most consistent romantic interest of all Latil’s men, I do think Tasir could be considered as the male lead. But again, this is just my opinion and my perspective about what I consider a male lead to be.

About the “real consort” thing. I do see them all as real. I mean, the purpose of a consort isn’t to be a romantic partner only, but a political ally as well. In that sense, I feel that the eight of them serve some kind of purpose to Latil regardless of how close they are to her (which they all are in their own way).
