How uh…how do you…nnngh aaah! Tell if your n-nose is b-…broken.
Alright, I lied. Here, have another nice photo.
Hey folks! Daddy’s back.
Trip went well. Even took some pictures.
Anyways…what did I miss?
Alright folks, little announcement.
I’m going to be MIA from tomorrow. Going away for a couple days for reasons I won’t disclose (he’s going to visit his mother @little-blog-of-horrors ).
SO, as always that leaves James ( @ashortdropandasuddenstop ) in charge. Which…he technically already is being CEO and all, but you get the point. Given that chaos always occurs when I’m around, I suspect the next few days to be rather peaceful, quiet and stress free.
You’re welcome.
…Oh and uh…be sure to check in on James now and then. He gets rather moody when I’m not around. And keep an eye on Zeus as well. Give him hugs for me. 🐺
Now, behave while Daddy’s away. See you folks soon.

Whatever you do, do not open The Seven's meeting room doors. I've made a terribly adorable mistake.

Deep, terribly and adorable never mix when it comes to you. What have you done now?
@cgi-blowme
"Hello Homelander." Gazelle approached him calmly. She had heard what had happened at the convention. "How are you holding up?"
John glanced up at the familiar voice, offering a small smile. “Gazelle, hey. I’ve uh…well, I’ve been better. It’s taking some adjusting, that’s for sure.” He admitted. “Please…call me John. I’m not Homelander.”
@slicinggazelle
Months. It has been months since Ryan has talked to his biological father. Months since their 'human vs supe' argument and months since Ryan started giving John the cold shoulder.
Ryan still had his apartment in Vought Tower and slept there often. But he never went out of his way to see John. He tolerated the supe's presence if necessary - through his mask. Now, Ryan has been hearing rumors, seeing news reports, and talking to other vigilantes about Homelander apparently going crazy.
This wasn't news for Ryan - he was well aware John had more than a few screws loose, but he always cared about his reputation and how the public saw him. So... attacking innocent people and Vought companies in broad daylight didn't seem like John at all. But...Ryan could never play it too safe. He pulls on his uniform and walks to John's penthouse.
He doesn't knock when he enters John's home - he doesn't hear any…noises, so he assumes it is safe to enter. He pauses momentarily by the door, waiting for John to hear him coming in and greet him, as he usually does, but is shocked when, after a few seconds, Zeus is his only greeting.
"John!?" He calls, walking further into the apartment, "You here? It's Ryan! We need to talk,"
- Mage's Pandora's Box - Ryan Butcher-Campbell
John hadn’t spoken with Ryan since their argument, both of them feeling very differently on the Supe vs Human debate. Neither could see eye to eye, and so they went their separate ways. John decided to give his kid some time and held back, trying not to bother him.
But that didn’t mean he didn’t keep an eye out. Whether it was James or Ferret giving him updates or simply seeing security footage, John was satisfied just knowing Ryan was safe and well. He could live with that.
However, after the whole Con mess, John’s attention had been focused elsewhere. Mainly on laying low and keeping out of sight, adapting to human life while James was searching for the crazed lunatic who stole his powers. Course, to make matters worse, said lunatic was running rampant throughout the city causing chaos in Homelander’s name. And there was nothing John could do about it.
He’d headed to the kitchen for a glass of milk, alone in his penthouse save for Zeus. Ever since the pup discovered John could be injured, he hadn’t left his side. With lack of powers, it meant that John had absolutely no idea Ryan was even close by, never mind right outside the penthouse. It wasn’t till Zeus ran off that John figured something was up.
Following after, John took a sip from his glass as he was led toward the door. “Zeus, what’s up buddy? What’s going on—.” John thought he was seeing things when he saw Ryan standing there. He blinked, brows furrowed in complete confusion, his son being the last person he’d thought he’d see. Especially with him…like this.
“Ryan? Uh…hi. Wasn’t expecting you.” He said, tilting his head. “What’s wrong, something happen? You…okay?” He asked, though didn’t make any movements toward Ryan, simply staying where he was. John wasn’t even in costume. There were no red gloves or boots, or cape in sight. Just him in casual clothes, looking…
Well. Normal.
