šŖ for the eulogy my muse would give for yours.
god, what was daisy supposed to say? she was supposed to getĀ up here in front of everyone & do what? not bawl like a baby? not talk about all the regrets she had stuffed inside? daisy hated crying. she outright refused for anyone to see this side of her, but here she was sobbing as she walked to the blue moon diner stage. no one would blame her for crying.. not even freya.
āum..ā her lips quivered as she spoke, grabbing hold of the small mic for comfort and structure.Ā āfreya is⦠was an amazing person.ā she bit her lip & sighed,Ā ābut everyone who gotĀ up here before me already said that. she was nice and joyful and crazy caring ā thatās it. thatās all anyone has said but she is⦠was so much more than that. sheās the woman who talked to me 1st everyday no matter the topic. sheās the woman whoās gonna send her sister to college even though she should go too. freya is brilliant and hilarious & held so much inside that brain of hers & i adore her. coming to work was so much easier with her around. always a story, always a good time ā yes, i feed yaāll & iām fine with beinā mama bearĀ āround here. lord knows everyone needs someone, but⦠i wasnāt that to freya. i was a friend.ā she stops, wondering if she should press on & say that she adored freya as more than just a coworker or friend. that inside she had a crush on the young woman & that now it was all too late. that she shouldāve said to hell with it & asked her out or at least figure out if it was worth taking a leap⦠but she decided against it. somethings were better left for the grave.
š for the toast my muse would give at your museās wedding.
daisy held out a glass of wine & softly tapped it to get everyoneās attention.Ā āa toast to the brides.ā she speaks softly, voice coarse from the amount of alcohol sheād taken in. she was beyond happy for freya, why wouldnāt she be? her time to take a risk had come & gone & now she was to be happy & accepting. it was a crush. a schoolgirl one at that, nothing more. besides today wasnāt about her.Ā āi canāt believe freya is finally married.ā she sighs a smile on her lips,Ā āya know, when i met freya all those years ago i thought - & still do - that sheās the sweetest strongest person i knew & that whoever managed to sweep her off her feet better be just as sweet & strong. & you missyā¦ā she pauses,Ā āā¦are. you better treat her well.ā daisy arches a brow,Ā āācause she deserves it & so much more.ā she raises her glass once more,Ā āto the brides! may you always be satisfied.ā
